A favourite in the nineteen thirties, the open launches from the East Anglian builder JW Brooke were to be found in many places both in the UK and occasionally for export. In 2019 Robin Richardson managed to persuade the owner of an original launch to let him take the lines off it to produce a replica. The hull is therefore of low maintenance glassfibre construction with mahogany and spruce decking and internal cladding, a mahogany transom and sheer strake. They chose to maintain originality by installing a Ford Watermota petrol engine, with the 30 hp giving good acceleration.

Moonshine has a spacious interior with two lloyd loom chairs and a padded aft bench which still leaves room for a table or more seating depending on the wishes of a new owner.

Launched for the owner of the Brooke original he now wishes to find a suitable custodian to enjoy this lovely launch. Cushions are red and there is a matching winter cover.

Viewing afloat in East Anglia by appointment with a Broads licence for 2023 and a current BSS certificate.
