Baycraft 19 for sale in Beale Park United Kingdom

When the Baycraft 19 first appeared at the Traditional Boat Festival in Henley on Thames she certainly turned heads. Here at HSC we are delighted to have been appointed as agents for the builders and have hull number 1 at the boat store ready for viewing.

Scamp, as the builders affectionately named her, has a Honda outboard and super comfortable sky blue seating for six to seven people with a table which fits neatly between the aft seating and tucks away under the aft deck when not in use. The Baycraft 19 was constructed of strip planked alaskan yellow cedar with 2 layers of diagonal cold moulding using khaya veneers and epoxy sheathing inside and out. The keel, hog, bilge keel and spray rails are of sapele while the deck is of sweet chestnut on marine ply over yellow cedar deck beams and substrate.

As a category D boat the Baycraft is licensed to carry 7 people and in category C just 5. Either way she is roomy and comfortable with a good turn of speed if on lake or estuary given the 40 hp Honda outboard. One could equally fit an electric outboard if preferred. As an alternative to a vintage Lyman Sea Skiff or one built in the mid fifties by Century (see photo with blue hull) or Chris Craft, the Baycraft 19, based on a 1954 sea skiff design by William and John Atkin, offers more comfort and a low maintenance contemporary alternative which could be kept at home on a trailer if a mooring is not permanently available.

A new Admiral trailer comes with the boat and is included in the price as is a good full length cover.
