'Seawynds' is an excellent example of the Najad 371, built by the renowned Swedish yard, to the highest Swedish quality and standards. Najad boats are a solidly made and offer exceptional sailing ability within a high quality traditional layout. The Najad 371 is an incredibly versatile boat, perfect for both local and blue water cruising, providing excellent seakeeping, comfortable accommodation and a safe, easy to handle, sailing experience.
This Najad 371 is powered by a Volvo Penta 45hp marine diesel engine, and Maxprop 3-blade folding propeller.
The engine room is well insulated to ensure a low noise level, and the engine is easily accessible for servicing through both a front hatch behind the companionway steps, and also from the side through twin doors.
This Najad 371 also benefits from a Vetus bow thruster with cockpit controls.
The hull of this Najad is of glass fibre reinforced plastic GRP. She is finished in white with a carmine red trim line and waterline. A rubbing strake is built in and is fitted with a brass capping. She also features built in longitudinal and transversal reinforcements above and below the water line.
All bulkheads are bonded to the hull from both sides.
The rigging on this Najad 371 features a Selden deck stepped anodised mast with single spreader, a Selden anodised alloy boom and Selden rod kicker. All standing rigging was replaced in 2009 by Spencer rigging of Cowes.

To aft is the owners' cabin with a double berth and further L-shaped settee berth, in the passageway there is also a hanging wardrobe and linen cupboards with wire baskets for storage.
Forward is a further double cabin with V-berth forming two comfortable full length berth. The forecabin also benefits from full standing headroom, and plentiful storage with a spacious wardrobe to port and cupboard with shelves to starboard. There is stowage space for sails etc. beneath the forepeak berths, as well as two drawers and three cupboards forward over the berths.
A further three guest berths can be provided in the convertible saloon area.
A large heads is located on the starboard side of this Najad 371, near the companion way steps. The heads benefit from standing headroom (6’7”), there is a large recessed porcelain washbasin, seawater toilet, and pressurized water to washbasin with shower handle. The floor is formed as a shower tray with teak gratings; and there is also a mirror and large bathroom cabinet, a wet locker for outer wear, and an opening port.
The saloon of this Najad 371 is spacious and light, and benefits from a full 6'7" standing height. There is a large L-shape sofa to port and a straight sofa to starboard, each with backrests which raise to give access to large storage spaces behind. There are bookshelves and cabinets on both sides, and there is a large stowage area under the seat of the starboard sofa. A large drop leaf table creates a dining area, with a covered storage space for bottles within the table centre.
The L-shaped galley on this Najad 371, is separated by a half-height bulkhead from the saloon, the galley is centrally located in the boat, but allows free passage between the cockpit and the saloon.
The galley is well equipped with two stainless steel sinks; pressurized water with manual hot and cold taps and mechanical footpump; twin burner gas cooker with grill and oven mounted on gimbal; large work surfaces covered in laminate; well insulated and drained fridge with ice box; storage space for provisions behind the worksurfaces; ample large storage cupboards above galley workspace with plate, cup and glass storage; storage cupboard for provisions, behind the sink units; drawers for cutlery etc; and an opening port.
