The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.

Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours

Owners Comments

Current owners have extensively cruised the Eastern Med from Cyprus, Turkey, joined the Eastern Med Yacht Rally (EMYR) sailed to Greece.

She is in her 2nd private ownership, used by the current owners twice a year form approx. total of 10 weeks. (non smokers, no animals/pets)

Additional owner prepared information in pdf format is available on request, it is supplementary to the above spec as an assistance and guide to equipment and general maintenance carried out in this ownership. It will not form part of the contractual specification on purchase.

Owners additional comments:

The underbottom is sandpapered and painted with hard antifouling micron extra from International.

The anodes are changed for the bow thruster and the propeller. New parts are on board.
Oil is changed with new filters. Also new oil is filled for the bow thruster.

I took off the impeller of the waterpump to change a new one every year.

We rinsed the motor and the aircondition with sweet fresh water. We rinsed it everytime when we finished sailing.

We sail boat for 6 weeks in springtime and 6 weeks in autumn +/-. We lived not the whole year on the boat only sailing some weeks. Only my wife and I sailed the boat. No friends and no charter. Therefore I know that we have never had a damage, never have had problems with the maschine or other parts.

When there are problems we changed the parts immediately.

We changed the 2 watertanks in stainless steel and got a new blackwatertank in GFK (special material for tanks ).

Most time I buy the Diesel (fuel) in the fuelstation on the road, to get no bacterium in the fuel.

In 2002 we changed the rudder blade.

In 2002 we got a new rev meter by 975 hours.

The teakdeck has a refit by myself. I learned it by a shipyard. I changed the most wood props and the silicon on the deck. Najad used silicon called sealine 100. You only have to work with sealine 100. When you use the first time silicon, you never can use other materials or you make a mistake. I do not burnish the deck because it is better to let it, like it is. But it is no problem to sandpaper it. Than it will be thinner. The planks have had 10mm and maybe now 10 between 8mm. I cleaned it with natural soap.
