MZUNGU is a superbly maintained and modified yacht that benefits from many recent upgrades and wants for nothing. As a “turn key” ready to race, offshore giant-killer or an inshore round the cans flyer, this Sun Fast 3200 has to be the best on the market.
Her racing success speaks volumes; Fastnet 2021 achieved 4th overall in the Double Handed IRC class, 1st DH in IRC 4 class and 26th IRC overall. UK Doublehanded Offshore Series 2nd. In most RORC and JOG races entered, she has always been near the front of the fleet.
2021 IRC Handicap is 0.993 endorsed.
MZUNGU has a modern, open cockpit [with liferaft recess], mainsheet, traveller and vital controls led to the helm position. The rigging plan is optimised for shorthanded sailing whilst retaining sufficient involvement for fully crewed races. She is currently configured with North 3Di endurance sails; 3 reef main on hanks, furling/reefing J2.5, asymmetric spinnaker[s] on carbon bowsprit. Upgraded Raymarine EV200 pilot and Axiom plotter help with the navigation whilst the off-watch crew [or cruising partner] can enjoy a Webasto heated cabin whilst the milk or beer stays cool in the fridge.
