The owner of this boat has made lots and lots of lovely memories with Freebird and he has now made the sad decision to sell her after nearly 20 years.

The owner of this boat has made lots and lots of lovely memories with Freebird and he has now made the sad decision to sell her after nearly 20 years.

The boat is powered by the reliable Volvo Penta MD2020, 19hp, which the vendor has looked after himself for many years. In 2008 the vendor and his wife took Freebird to South Brittany where it remained for around 10 years, so they spent weeks and weeks every year enjoying cruising in the warmer climate, and to be able to do this with as little worry as possible, the vendor had to be able to maintain the engine himself.

The standing rigging is original and has been checked by the vendor at least once every season using his bosun’s chair. The vendor has told us that the running rigging has always been well-maintained and mouse lines run for winter.
