The Rampart Boatbuilding Company needs little introduction as one of the most well-known motor-yacht yards in England. Established just after the First World War at Bitterne Manor, Southampton by George Desty the yard soon became famous for their range of production motor-yachts. Ramparts continued until the early 1980s as one of the last South Coast yards to be still building wooden boats. The Rampart 32 with its stylish lines and generous well finished accommodation is a highly successful medium displacement vessel of traditional construction with great sea-keeping qualities proven over many years in both UK and foreign waters.  The design is ideal for extended cruising, exploring the Dutch or French waterways as undertaken in previous ownership.

OWNERS COMMENT:

Jomalou has been lightly cruised on the Upper Thames and Tideway in recent years. We have loved our ownership but changes in our living and working arrangements dictate that a new custodian must be found.

Boat Safety Certificate renewed 2020 to 2024 with all associated work.

BROKERS NOTE:

One of the last traditional motor-cruiser to be built by Ramparts incorporating up-dated styling and revisions to their original successful design.  Offered in exemplary condition throughout and undoubtedly the best example of her size available on the market.  As noted above, Jomalou has been the subject of an extensive re-fit and is only available due to a change in the owner’s commitments. Sold by Classic Yacht Brokerage on three previous occasions and highly recommended
