This well-preserved 1978 Baba 30 Cutter designed by Robert Perry, is back on the market with a new bottom job with the application of antifouling paint completed in 2020. This interesting vessel is constructed of Fiberglass w/ Teak decks and interior cabinetry. Bottom Paint Antifouling: Fresh Paint In 2020 The seller's deteriorating eyesight is the primary reason for selling her. She is not in Bristol condition but, she is a solid vessel. She is kept in a private slip in Sarasota and available for viewing. 1978 Baba 30 imported by Flying Dutchman Yachts and built by Ta Shing Yachts - Taiwan and designed by Robert Perry. Dimensions: LOA 33'6". LOD 29' 9". LWL 24' 6". Beam 10' 3". Draft 4' 9". Displacement 12,500 lbs. Ballast 5,000 lbs. iron glassed into the keel. Tankage: Water 40 gallons. Diesel: 27 gallons. Holding: 12 gallons. Engine: Yanmar 3GM30F. 1991 the seller reports there are approximately 4,000 hours. Racor fuel filter and analog oil pressure gauge. Cush drive and dripless shaft seal. Fixed 3 blade prop plus a spare. Had new shaft machined in 2008 and there is also a spare rebuilt starter. Fresh bottom paint applied in August 2020. The hull was barrier coated previously and has never had a blister since the current owner has owned it (March 2008). Three deep cycle marine batteries were installed in November 2020 and a 20 Amp 3 stage charger/inverter installed in 2017. The engine has a high output 100 amp alternator with rebuilt spare, Balmar three-stage regulator and two solar panels at 40W each, zinc saver 2 galvanic isolator, and analog DC voltmeter. Galley: Six-gallon water heater that can be powered by heat exchanger or electric. Deep double sinks. Pressure hot and cold freshwater. Adler Barber cold machine refrigerator 2007. Stainless steel 2 burner propane oven with stove (Shipmate). The stove is currently disconnected and needs a new regulator and propane tank. The stove functioned fine when I last used it. Navigation/electronics: 5" Danforth Constellation compass in binnacle. Garmin GPS MAP 547xs with speed and depth indicators and Raymarine EV 100 Evolution autopilot mounted on wheel installed in 2017. West Marine VHF and Standard Horizon hand-held VHF. Sails: 140% roller furling Genoa, roller furling staysail and full batten main with two reefs. Storm sails and drifter. All sails Lee Sails from 1991. Staysail recently reconditioned. Genoa going in for reconditioning next. Sunbrella: Full winter cover for the entire boat to the waterline with the rig up. Mainsail cover, binnacle cover, hatch covers, dodger, Bimini, lee cloths. Salon: Weems and Plath barometer and clock. Oil Lamp. Two cabin fans. Fixed table, full berth version. No quarter berth, all storage. Cockpit: Two lazarettes. Wheel steering with a teak emergency tiller. Manual bilge pump. Room to sleep two. Full cockpit cushions. All lines: Main sheet, main halyard, two sets of reef lines, traveler, boom vang, and topping lift led aft through clutches. Genoa sheet winches: Barient 27 self-tailing. (oversized) Mainsheet winch Barlow 20. Staysail winches: Barlow 15. Head: Raw water manual flush head with new hoses, holding tank. Deck pump out or maybe directed overboard. Shower and vanity de-plumbed by the previous owner. Ground Tackle: Sea tiger 555 manual windlasses. Primary: 35lb Bruce type W/20' 5/16"BBB chain and 300' 3/8" nylon. Secondary: 35lb Fast set Delta W/30' 5/16"BBB chain and 240' 1/2" nylon. Stern anchor: 15lb Danforth W/30' 5/16" chain and 230' 1/2" nylon (ready to run from a bag inside the starboard lazarette.
