The Solent 6.5m RIB is a popular coastal RIB, with hypalon tubes and a deep V hull, for excellent sea keeping.
The internal layout consists of two single jockey seats at the helm, and two double jockey seats behind, providing seating for 6 people behind the protection of the console. Forward of the console is a seat with cushion with storage underneath.
In the bow is a deck locker for anchor and rope storage as well as deck eyes for lashing down a liferaft or other equipment. There is considerable space in the bow, forward of the console, meaning the RIB would be ideal as a support RIB for dinghy sailing, or for watersports such as kitesurfing, with plenty of space for all the kit.
The tubes are hypalon and in very good condition. With modern C7 inflation valves and pressure release valves on each chamber. There is a convenient rope lifeline running the length of the tubes, ideal for picking up people from the water, as well as four rubber moulded handles. The hull is in good condition, never antifouled and with its original black gelcoat. There is a Keelguard fitted for added protection.
Aft is a tall stainless steel A-frame with navigation lights, and a VHF antenna.
At the console there are the usual array of engine instrumentation gauges (although they are sun damaged and could do with repair or replacement), as well as a Garmin echoMap 50S GPS chartplotter and fishfinder, Icom VHF radio, a marine switch panel and a 12v charging socket.
The engine is a Johnson 4-stroke 140hp - based on the very popular Suzuki DF140. Controls are via a mechanical side mounted control box and hydraulic Seastar steering.
The included trailer is suitable for yard use only. The brakes are not connected and it will require some work to get it roadworthy.
