She offers up to eight cushioned berths, a galley area with stove and sink, and a separate heads compartment. The Yanmar 3JH4E engine is freshwater cooled with engine serviced in 2021. She has a fractionally rigged sloop, Marstrom carbon fibre double spreaders, and a NKE mast ram and heel screw adjuster. Accompanied by a great selection of sails, she is the perfect choice for performance racing.

The Pronavia 42 Sport IRC is a moderate displacement, high ballast ratio racer with a generous sail area, considered to be highly competitive against X-Yachts, Archambaults, and other rival racing yachts. Below decks the design allows the navigator to sit either side of the central navigation station over the engine. Assassin has proven herself on the race course: Solent Series 2019 1st Class 1 and Overall, and many trophies since, including 1st Class 1 Nabb Tower Race, Carthew Diamond Trophy 1st Class 1 Ramsgate Week 2020, 1st Gold Cup, & 1st Class 1 & 2nd overall Ramsgate Week 2022. 2022 IRC rating 1.135.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to eight cushioned berths (new padding 2020) in saloon and quarter berths. Sail stowage forward. Galley area to port with two burner cartridge gas stove and sink. Separate heads compartment with zip canvas 'door' to starboard with Jabsco marine toilet and wash basin. Double-sided navigation station under companionway allows the navigator to sit to windward. Removable stainless steel tube frame companionway ladder with teak steps. Canvas storage bag/sprayscreen under companionway ladder.

Mechanical Systems

Yanmar 3JH4E. three-cylinder, 36hp marine diesel engine located under companionway steps. Saildrive to two-blade folding propeller. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Central fuel tank under cockpit. Single lever Morse controls. Engine serviced 2022.

Two deep discharge 12v batteries charging from engine alternator. Triple multi way isolator switches.

Construction

Built in 2009 by Pronavia Yachts, Sweden to a Chris Stimpson design. Epoxy hull construction with carbon fibre reinforced and engineered structure making her very stiff fore and aft. Carbon fibre gate tiller with two Spinlock telescopic tiller extensions. Keel bulb of some 3.2 tonnes with a draft of 2.63m.
