Olson 34 Cruising Sloop
Built to Exacting Standards for an Experienced Sailing Couple
Perhaps only once in a lifetime does an opportunity to purchase a boat as close to perfect, for this price, come along. WATERMARK represents that kind of opportunity. This is a one-owner boat, built and outfitted to order.
Drawn by the illustrious George Olson as the cruising version of the famous Olson 34. The couple that commissioned this boat knew exactly what they wanted, as the husband is an experienced sailor, Naval Architect/Yacht Designer.
The main differences between the race and the cruising versions are the built in swim step, thicker laminates, and an larger anchor locker for serious ground tackle, adding slightly more weight than the race boat version. In short, WATERMARK is more stable and exhibits a luxurious, comfortable interior.
WATERMARK sports a tiller for perfect helm control and when rotated up, it opens the cockpit for entertaining or just hanging out.
The systems aboard WATERMARK are done to ABYC standards by the same highly experienced mechanics and electricians that build Mega Yachts. Few boats of this size and class have the quality of materials and engineering as WATERMARK. No expense was spared in the wiring, plumbing and mechanical systems. Neither excessive nor complicated, but of very high quality.
The mast is a tapered aluminium Sparcraft tall rig with double spreaders. Masthead rigged with a long boom for lots of power upwind and down. The Strong Track on the mast offers low friction hoisting and lowering of the Mainsail. The Roller furling Genoa provides ease of sail handling
This boat is set up for for a sailing couple, as the original owners have done since new, or for single-handed sailing. The sails are in great condition and ready for winter cruising.
If you are ready to go sailing and you are looking for a sailboat in this size range, then you owe it to yourself to see WATERMARK. A n excellent example of a ‘California go-fast’ combined with a ‘Northwest build quality’ boat.
WATERMARK needs nothing except you and provisions to go sailing!

I have known about this boat since it was being built. The owners are very exacting in their specifications. The level of quality in materials and processes during the build and outfitting of this yacht, exceeds ABYC standards for vessels in this size range. The care and maintenance of this boat is incomparable.
