The Lagoon 400 S2 is the most spacious of 40 ft cats on the market. With more than 600 hulls built it is the most popular of this category. Vairea is hull number 410. The innovation in the Lagoon 400 S2 is the amount of living space packed into this boat. For a homely ambience the floors of the cockpit, the helm station, the bridge deck and both bathrooms are laid out with Flexiteek. The helm seat is modified to a much more comfortable seat as the original one.

There is a sliding door and window connecting the galley to the cockpit with the helm station keeping everyone in the conversation and creating a large open space. Over the galley we built an extra hatch for better ventilation during cooking and navigation. The starboard hull contains the owners suite with an ensuite bathroom. In the portside hull is a guest cabin with a separate bathroom. The head cabin is used for extra storage. The headroom in the boat is 7 ft / 2,1 m.

In August this year the engines and the saildrives got a big 2'000 hours service. Both engines got new motor mounts, fuel injectors and saltwater pumps. All gaskets and pipes were replaced. The foot sealing membranes of the saildrives were replaced. The old 2 blade propellers were replaced by new 3 blade propellers (17 x 14).

In August this year the bulkheads were inspected and all the floor under the water tank. There was no water damage. The drainage was already modified in 2016.

The running rigging is simple, all lines, sheets and halyards come deck to helm and all the work can be done on one of the winches. You can open and close the lazybag easy standing on the roof.

On anchor it is never necessary to run the engines. The solar panels will load the batteries with enough energy. In bad weather situations a wind generator will support the load of the batteries.

To explore the sea there is a dive compressor (gasoline powered Bauer Junior II) in the cockpit locker installed to fill the four dive tanks.Owner's comments«Vairea» is a 2015 Lagoon 400 S2 cruising catamaran for sale. This wonderful turnkey catamaran is bluewater ready fully equipped. She is sold by her first owners. She will be available from April 2023 in the Bahamas or in Florida when our journey comes to an end. Vairea was never in charter and we had no pets on board. We are very happy with Vairea and would buy her again.
