Neat and tidy Boornkruiser 940. Type De Luxe and therefore extra headroom, more moldings and -for that time- modern options. In recent years the boat has been taken care of considerably by the current owner. For example, the ship was completely painted in 2021 in a two-component paint system. But the bow thruster, refrigerator, solar panel and mattresses have also been renewed.

But the bow thruster, refrigerator, solar panel and mattresses have also been renewed. The original engine has been replaced for an economical and excellent running Vetus of 42 hp.

Our comments

• The overall condition of the boat is more than good and the new options a valuable addition. On the plane, however, there is surface rust here and there. In addition, some wooden parts of the paneling are affected by moisture due to condensation such as on the port side under the window in the wheelhouse. Unfortunately, the owner no longer has time to make this neat. Lack of time is also the reason for sale.

Layout

• Rear cabin with a spacious bed on either side with storage underneath. Central against the aft wall is a closet. The low cupboard houses the propeller inspection shaft and allows access to the steering system.
• Wheelhouse with on port side the steering position. On the starboard side a cupboard and the spacious refrigerator with the co-pilot position on top. On both sides cabinets under the gangways, one of which on starboard is for the gas cylinder. Against the aft cabin over the full width a bench with removable central part.
• Forward cabin with directly to starboard the toilet and next to it the kitchen with stainless steel countertop and sink. Equipped with a folding two-burner gas stove. On port side is the spacious dinette that can also serve as a double bed. In the forepeak is a large double v-bed with new mattresses and slatted bases.
