A concourse restoration with no expense spared, fully documented.

The photographs of Godiva illustrate the meticulous attention to period detail achieved throughout.

1959 Albatross Continental

My Albatross, named Godiva was probably not owned by Brigitte Bardot, Aristotle Onassis, Prince Rainer, Grace Kelly or The Duke of Edinburgh.

In period these aeronautical inspired boats were available with a variety of mundane engines. However, the Coventry Climax engine was and remains to this day sophisticated and very light weight. Features much appreciated by Cooper, Lotus and many other race car builders. Hence the engine in Godiva has been built by a highly successful racing car engine builder Andrew Tart here in the U.K. This engine has zero running hours and with no salt water running.

Godiva is a beautiful expression of post Second World War technology, a technology that included beauty e.g the Jaguar C Type and D Type, DC-4 Dakota aircraft and Citroen saloon cars.
