Aleyoop reportedly had some of the best finishes of all the boats in the fleet at the 2015 Chub Youth Championships hosted by at the Wianno Yacht Club. The Wianno Senior has been raced throughout Nantucket Sound since 1914. During the summer of 2014 the class celebrated its 100th Anniversary. These beautiful, gaff-rigged, one design sailboats, were originally built of wood and constructed locally by Osterville's Crosby Yacht Building Company. The transition to fiberglass was initiated by Sparkman & Stevens and now almost 40 boats have been built in fiberglass. The Wianno Senior class was enjoyed by the late John F. Kennedy and his brother Teddy as they competed in many events throughout the Nantucket Sound during their time.
