Cranchi Zaffiro 34 Review

The Cranchi Zaffiro 34 is a classic Italian thoroughbred from a family firm with almost 150 years’ experience of building quality boats. This sports cruiser can comfortably accommodate a family or guests for an overnight or weekend stay in a spacious owners’ cabin and guest cabin with twin berths that can convert to a double. There is ample space above and below deck for up to 10 people, making the Cranchi Zaffiro 34 an ideal boat for a party. A large swim platform provides space for watersports activities and is big enough for a tender. The Zaffiro 34, with its qualities of space, performance and excellent sea keeping abilities, has been a long-running success story for Cranchi, making it an excellent secondhand purchase.

Who and what was this boat designed for?

The Cranchi Zaffiro 34 is a sports cruiser with good bluewater performance characteristics and a cruising range of around 300 nautical miles. A sharp entry deep-vee hull gives the boat excellent handling ability and stability. The boat’s weight contributes to a smooth ride over rough water, while twin Volvo diesels offer brisk acceleration.

What commentators say about this boat?

A chic conveyance made in the finest of Italian traditions.

Besides being well-groomed, smart and having a first-class finish, the Cranchi offers a consular ride.

Like many Italian flights of fancy, the Zaffiro 34 bows to fashion, finish and go-fast performance. But, unlike a lot of Italian boats, this 34-footer also works from a practical perspective.

In the middle of all of this industry, design talent, craftsmen, and taste, are several boat builders producing, not surprisingly, the world’s most elegant and refined small boats. One of them is Cranchi.

For a classy Italian stallion with all the goodies like this Cranchi 34, that's a definitely good value for money.
