"Airwaves" is a classic Hatteras 68' Cockpit Motor yacht. Made famous by her previous owner Dick Robinson this yacht has traveled the eastern sea board for nearly its entire life and has recently resided in Florida. She features a very functional (4) stateroom (4) head layout with a full beam master aft with en-suite head and shower. The current owners have consistently continued to upgrade and care for "Airwaves" and highlights include: All new HVAC including air handlers and controls, Upgraded New Northern lights generators, Bow Thruster, New Batteries, Teak and Holley sole in the dinette area, engine services up to date and custom ladder from the cockpit to the hardtop. After many wonderful years its time to allow "Airwaves" to give another family the same great opportunities and memories of her previous kin. Easy to show and ready to cruise! Call today for your private showing.
The salon onboard "Airwaves" features a large L-shaped sofa with a pull-out berth to aft and port, moving forward to port is the formal dining for up to (6) guests and to starboard a well-configured wet bar and AV center with storage below. Access to the galley and dinette area is forward and access to the aft cockpit is also on the starboard side.
The Galley and dinette are located mid-ship between the lower helm station and the main salon area. Privacy doors can be used to isolate the space for food prep or catered events. The galley is a U-shaped design with all the amenities you would find at home. The U-shaped dinette is large enough to easily accommodate up to (4) guests. Both the galley and dinette areas are lined with teak and Holley sole and white cabinetry.
The lower helm can be accessed port or starboard and features a raised helm chair sofa with storage below, ample storage for charts and manuals, and access to the ship's main distribution panel.
Just forward and down a curved stairwell is the yachts lower dinette area which previously served as a radio broadcast area as well as the two forward guest staterooms. The recently refinished teak and Holley sole leads you to the two guest staterooms and the forward lazzerette area that houses the generators and HVAC equipment. The forward stateroom features an over under berth arrangement and an en-suite head and shower. A large hanging closet and plenty of storage make this a great spot for extra guest. Just aft and to the port side is the second of four staterooms featuring an L-shaped over under berth arrangement with yet another en-suite head and shower. Both staterooms have ample storage and hanging closets. Natural light is available through the port hole windows on each side.
Located mid-ship to port is the guest single side-by-side berth stateroom. There is a large hanging closet and plenty of drawer storage as well. Directly across the companionway and to the starboard side is the guest/day head with a full-size stall-style shower.
The master stateroom is located completely aft and features a centerline king-size berth as well as an en-suite head and shower. A very large vanity and dressing area are located forward of the berth. Plenty of storage and pull-out drawers surround the stateroom and port-hole windows allow natural light to flood the area.
The flybridge is accessed through the lower helm area or by the custom-built ladder leading back down to the cockpit. There is wrap-around upholstered seating with a large teak table in the center. On the aft flybridge deck is room for your tender or jet skis that can be lifted with your included davit. The upper helm is forward with your essential engine controls and instruments as well as electronics.
