WHEELHOUSE

The Harley 25 is fitted with a sturdy wheelhouse with full size Seaglaze toughened glass windows (side windows slide open for ventilation) and a rear pair of folding doors which open fully to allow easy access to and from the wheelhouse. These doors can be secured open or closed whilst underway and are finished with recently applied deep lustre marine varnish.

The helm's position (to port) is a raised pedestal seat with padded seat, arms and back. The crew seat is identical and mounted opposite, to starboard. Both seats provide secure elevated positions with good visibility.

Behind the helm is a double bench seat. The wheelhouse is also fitted with an upgraded removable tri-fold teak table.

All the seating within the wheelhouse is freshly upholstered with mid-blue agua al Fresco marine fabric.

To starboard is a galley with sink, running water and work surface. There is storage beneath which also holds a compact camping type gas canister stove. The wheelhouse is also fitted with a number of teak fittings for storing equipment and galley items etc. A barometer, clock and tide predictor in brass rounds are fitted to the starboard side.

FOREPEAK

The forepeak features two full size berths with mattresses covered with mid-blue Agua Fabrics al Fresco cloth. There is also a heads compartment with a Jabsco marine toilet. A marine stereo radio is fitted to the forepeak within reach of the helm's position. The sole of the forepeak is fitted with Tek-Dek decking.

COCKPIT and COCKPIT COVER/ENCLOSURES

This Harley 25 motor boat has a large deep cockpit suitable for a wide range of activities from angling to dining to sunbathing to socialising etc. etc. 'Outlaw' has an upgraded cockpit. Tek-Dek decking has been professionally fitted and two folding teak seats have been added. These seats have been provided with full-size cushions in high grade mid-blue Agua Fabrics al Fresco waterproof woven marine upholstery fabric.

The cockpit can either be left open to enjoy the sunshine or enclosed in a number of configurations.

She has a beige coloured tonneau cover which fits onto the rear of the coachroof and then clips around the cockpit coaming. It provides protection for the cockpit and the varnished doors that provide access to the wheelhouse.

'Outlaw' is also equipped with a full canvas and clear PVC enclosure. This also fits onto the rear of the of the coachroof and is clipped to retaining lugs fitted to the boat's cockpit coaming. The enclosure is supported by a single bar stainless steel arch to create a large weatherproof area. The enclosure can be open at the rear and sides to allow access and ventilation. Panel can also be arranged to provide shade in hot weather or protection on less clement days. The enclosure adds greatly to the all-year-round usability of the Harley 25. The manner in which is constructed makes it simple to fit and use, or remove if not required.

The cockpit is also fitted with two T-bar bollard cleats for mooring. The top of the starboard cleat can be unscrewed and removed. This allows a stainless steel davit with block and tackle to be dropped in to allow for lifting of the boats' auxiliary Yamaha outboard/tender outboard.

A table can be fitted to the cockpit and is removable. Two tables are included in the inventory, a tri-fold teak table and also a baffled white nylon table.

VOLVO PENTA D3 ENGINE

'OUTLAW's engine has 453 hours.

The Volvo Penta D3-170 is an in-line 5-cylinder, 2.4-litre diesel engine with an aluminium cylinder block and cylinder head, using common-rail with piezo-electric injectors, double overhead camshafts, and Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). This contributes to outstanding torque during acceleration. LONG LIFE

The Volvo Penta D3 is a refined version of a proven, renowned engine concept. This strong, solid and robust engine delivers excellent reliability and long service life.

The engine is ultra-compact for its swept volume and fully symmetrical, making it very easy to install. Aluminium cylinder block and cylinder head gives the engine extremely low weight for its power output.

UNIQUE MARINE TORQUE

Volvo Penta engines excel with their unique marine torque. High torque at low rpm gives rapid acceleration to the plane and massive manoeuvring power. Even at high load and high rpm, the torque remains strong to provide efficient cruising speed in all conditions.

LOW FUEL CONSUMPTION

The high-tech fuel injection system helps make the engine highly fuel efficient. The control unit monitors several parameters which reduces the overall fuel consumption.

PERFORMANCE

Cruising speeds circa 15 knots and a top speed of circa 25 knots should be achievable.

(information taken from Volvo Penta)
