Swedish builders Hallberg Rassy are synonymous with super high quality, seaworthy cruising boats that stand head and shoulders above standard production cruising yachts. This 1976 HR Mistral 33 from the design board of Olle Enderlein is no exception to the rule and with her beautiful traditional lines and undoubted build quality she presents a unique opportunity to own a slice of boat building history from one of the worlds most renowned boat builders. Sleeping up to six across her tradition solid mahogany interior 'Buttercup' has been well maintained and upgraded over the years.

Hull, Deck & Keel

  • Hand laid GRP hull.
  • Hand laid GRP deck, sandwich construction. 
  • Burma Teak laid foredeck, side deck, stern deck and cockpit seats, all in good condition.
  • Superstructure, rails and combings are built of selected Mahogany.
  • The cabin top is sheathed in GRP.
  • New cockpit combings and Teak capping rails made and fitted 2018.
  • The keel is made up of a stub moulding with through bolted Iron ballast which is GRP sheathed. The last survey (2021) suggested epoxy coatings have been applied in the past.
  • The hull has been freshly antifouled 2023.
  • Full skeg hung rudder with encapsulated prop.
  • Whitlock wheel steering with varnished timber wheel, mounted on a binnacle .

Deck Equipment

Stainless steel pulpit, pushpit with opening top bar and stanchion posts with twin guard wires. 

The deck is Teak laid with raised varnished Teak toe rail.

The cabin top has an opening deck hatch forward of the mast, port and starboard full length varnished Teak hand rails for security moving forward. The hatch has a sliding lid and bi-folding hatch board so it can be left partially open.

The cockpit is deep and attractive with teak combings and laid Teak seats. The mainsheet track is situated in front of the wheel steering for ease of handling.

Storage is in the form of 4 open fronted handy lockers 2 x port and starboard, there is a large full depth cockpit locker under the starboard seat, large Lazarette locker aft with Teak topped hinged lid and a locker under the helm seat to access the engine stop and stern tube greaser.
