New Expectations For The 2019 Miami Yacht Show

The theme of this year’s Miami Yacht Show is “fresh and new”. After 30 years of being nestled along Collins Avenue on South Beach, the show is moving to a new location at One Herald Plaza on Biscayne Bay. The Miami Yacht Show (not to be confused with the Miami Boat Show at the Miami Marine Stadium) will now be positioned between the Venetian and MacArthur Causeways, not far from the Superyacht Miami Show at the Island Gardens Marina. This new space will offer more than 500 yachts across a 60-acre display along with a 67,000-square foot exhibition space.

Over 29,000 boat lovers will visit the Miami Yacht Show and Informa Exhibitions, the show’s new owner, hopes to entice even more yacht enthusiasts this year by offering several exciting new attractions. A new section of pop-up luxury retail stores, guest lounges, bars, exotic cars, personal aircrafts, and several special events will compliment the unprecedented line-up of the newest yachts available.

Watches & Wonders, a wildly popular event held yearly in the Miami Design District, will again be held the same weekend as the Miami Yacht Show. Watches & Wonders brings together more than 25 of the top luxury timepieces and jewelry companies in the world that is attended by aficionados from all over. The event will showcase

Another perk of the new location is the proximity to Art Wynwood produced by Art Miami. This is a contemporary and modern art fair that has some of the most spectacular fine art collections in the country. Visitors to the Miami Yacht Show will be able to cross easily into the Art Wynwood event.

VIP Lounge

While all of the events, shopping, and allure of Miami Beach is reason enough to visit, the real start of the Miami Yacht Show is of course, the boats. Builders from around the globe bring their newest models to Miami to premiere them to one of the most exclusive crowds of yacht lovers and buyers of any boat show. While it may take you days to tour every yacht at the show, here are 3 new boats you can’t miss.

Viking Yachts 38 Billfish

Viking Yachts

It was at the Miami Yacht Show in 2017 when the Viking 37 Billfish made its world premiere and went on to sell dozens of hulls its first year. The Billfish series proved to be a popular choice for luxury center-console owners that wanted a cabin, more comfort, and the sportfish feel, all while being able to easily operate it without a captain.

Viking Yachts has expanded on the success of the 37 Billfish by introducing the new 38 Billfish and soon a 46 Billfish.  The new 38 Billfish was built with the same DNA as its predecessor, but will now have a larger cockpit at 109 square feet and better efficiency after slight changes in the hull shape were made. The 38 Billfish features a tournament-style center-console walk-around helm, private head with walk-in shower, L-shaped galley with appliances, and a private cabin with optional queen berth or cross-over bunks.

Take a look at the Viking Yachts we have listed for sale.

Absolute Yachts 62 Flybridge

Absolute Yachts 62 Flybridge

Absolute Yachts will debut the new 62 Flybridge for the first time in the U.S. at the 2019 Miami Yacht Show. Her sibling model, the 58 Flybridge, sold very well in the American market due to the entertainment and socializing space on board as well as the competitive pricing that Absolute is able to offer in this class. With large salon and lower deck windows, the ambiance throughout the interior is one of relaxation with a contemporary feel.

The new 62 Flybridge will offer multiple spaces for sunbathing between the swim platform for the on-water experience, the flybridge with amazing views, and the bow lounge that is exhilarating when at cruise. And with Volvo Penta D-11 950 IPS 725hp engines, she will cruise comfortably in the high-20 knot range.

HCB Yachts 65 Estrella

While the HCB 65 Estrella is not making debut, if you have not yet toured the world’s largest center-console, the Miami Yacht Show will be a perfect time. The 65 Estrella is nothing short of incredible, frankly there’s nothing short about it. At 65’, this luxury center-console yacht features a spacious cabin with sleeping arrangements for up to five people with a private bathroom and separate walk-in shower.

The quint (5) 7Marine outboard engines push over 3,000 horsepower and have a 1,800 gallon fuel capacity for long range trips. Outfit the 65 Estrella for hardcore fishing or add the luxurious teak package and extra-seating for an amazing motor yacht tender.

These are our highlights so far, with so many to choose from, make sure check back regularly for our more top boats to see at the Miami Yacht Show.
