Van de Stadt 38 Seal
Beautiful completely renovated copy of the well-known designer Van de Stadt. A very seaworthy and comfortable sailing yacht with a special appearance due to the timber construction. With the permission of the designer, the construction was extended by 2 feet, resulting in more (stowage) space and an extra spacious kitchen with respect to the original design of 36 feet. The ship was surveyed in 2017 (report present) and all identified defects have been rectified. The ship is now in excellent condition. In the beautiful interior a few final things have to be completed. There has been an unbelievable number of recent renovations to the ship, which means she can continue for many years. For example, all fittings, the railing, and the cover plates and anchoring of the standing rigging are disassembled and reapplied. The cover plates have been replaced by stainless steel ones. The hull has been completely stripped above the waterline and equipped with 4 layers of 2-component transparent PVC coating and under the waterline with 2 layers of 2-component epoxy primer and 4 layers of 2-component coppercoat. The ship is extremely strong with 3 layers of 6 mm wood. The underwater ship has 2 layers of 6mm wood and 1 layer of 6mm epoxy mat. A very nice ship.
