Wooden Ships Comments The RNSA dinghy was designed for the Royal Navy to teach sailing to the cadets with some carried on larger war ships. This boat was bought by the present owner in 2016 and has had considerable refit work done, both by the owner and by a local professional yard. She has been used regularly and is in good sound condition.   The owner wants to see her used properly rather than languishing in the boat yard so is offering her free to a good home on the basis she is moved from her present location and the new owners are able to care for and look after the boat   Length 14' Beam 5' Construction Clinker planked in mahogany and spruce, all copper rivet fastened to steam bent oak timbers. The lands of each plank are copper rivet fastened Three varnished mahogany thwarts with sawn hardwood knees. Varnished slatted sole boards Four buoyancy tanks fitted under the thwarts. Mahogany centreboard casing with a steel centreplate lifted with a 4:1 block and tackle.
