Located under the wheelhouse sole, twin Volvo Penta TAMD 63L 318 hp 6-cylinder turbo diesel engines. Seawater cooled via heat exchangers. Dual station hydraulic steering from flybridge and wheel house Saloon. Twin lever electronic engine controls at both helms. Electric start with engine preheaters. Twin shaft drives with rope cutters to 4-bladed propellers. Bennett Trim tabs. Side power bow (2019) and stern (2020) thruster with controls at both helm positions. Engines professionally maintained and serviced for the beginning of the 2021 season and benefits from having the port engine rebuild in 2020.
Construction
Aquastar Ocean Star 118 built by Aqua-Star Ltd in 1998. Navy GRP semi-displacement hull, varnished teak chine rails and substantial rubbing strakes. White GRP superstructure with blue painted styling stripe, flybridge and varnished teak trim. Grey Treadmaster non-slip deck surfaces. Dual helm wheel steering to twin rudders. Folding radar arch.

DOMESTIC

WHEELHOUSE SALOON: Adjustable helm seat to starboard with full engine/navigational instrumentation. Door to side deck. Navigators bench seat and chart table with storage to port and settee aft. Additional seating area to port. Blue velour upholstery with blue and white curtains. Fitted bookshelf in aft bulkhead and controls for HFL 240 v generator and mains 240 v circuit controls. Pioneer radio/cd player to internal and external speakers. Steps up to fly bridge and steps down to aft cabin.
LOWER DINETTE: Dinette to port has a table which drops to convert to a double berth. Steps lead up to main saloon. Ample stowage beneath seating. shelf and lockers above table. Steps lead to wheelhouse saloon. (pressure pump for domestic water located beneath steps, starboard side - 12 v system control panel, port side – refrigerator).
GALLEY: U-shaped galley to starboard. equipped with 2-burner Flavel Wayfarer gas cooker with grill and oven, double induction hob (240 v), microwave, cool-box (operates on 12v and 240v), stainless steel sink, draining board and ample stowage space.
FORWARD CABIN: Large double V berth with storage beneath, hanging locker and mirror, storage lockers and access anchor to chain locker. Fitted four drawer tool chest. Opening hatch to deck with sun blind.
HEADS COMPARTMENT: Separate heads to starboard with marine toilet, washbasin with hot and cold mixer tap plus shower, mirror above and stowage.
AFT CABIN: Large island double berth and excellent storage in various lockers, drawers and hanging lockers. Opening hatch to deck. En-suite heads compartment with marine toilet, washbasin with hot and cold mixer tap plus shower, mirror and stowage.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Eberspacher cabin heating throughout. Hot and cold pressurised water system via new calorifier with immersion coil.
EXTERNAL SPACE: The flybridge has a duplicate set of controls, helm and navigator positions with steps down either side to the side decks. Bench seats with removable table.
