DESCRIPTION

Classic cruiser/racer from this well respected yard, the Sweden 390 is very well built, easily handled by a short handed crew and a good performer in both light airs and heavy weather. This particular example is exceptionally well maintained, equipped  with a full range of sails and desirable extras including a bow thruster, generator, dinghy and outboard and safety equipment.

End grain balsa core sandwich using fibreglass mat and roving on both sides, giving a light, rigid and well insulated hull.
Balsa core is used from toe rail to below water line.
Solid laminate is used in high stress areas around keel, mast foot and the joint between the two hull halves.
Bottom reinforcements are longitudinal and transversal solid laminate design.
White gel coat with blue gelcoated stripes.
Blue waterline hull stripe and blue antifoul.
Hull epoxy treated 2013

The deck is moulded in fibreglass with end grain balsa core sandwich.
Stress areas where winches and major deck fittings are fixed are reinforced by replacing the balsa core with plywood or by using backing plates or large diameter washers.
The hull and deck is bonded together using polyester filler. The alloy toe rail is then bolted through the hull and deck flange using sealing material.
All main bulkheads are bonded to the hull and deck using glassfibre and polyester.
Teak laid deck and coachroof with additional teak laid to cockpit sole and cockpit seating.

Fin keel with lead ballast externally bolted to hull using stainless steel bolts.

WATER SYSTEMS
12 volt DC pressurised Jabsco Par-Max pump and Accumulator water pump (2014) supplying hot and cold fresh water to heads hand basin, heads hand shower, double stainless steel galley sinks and shower on stern bathing platform. Foot pumps in galley for fresh and sea water supply.

Hot water supply from Rosamon 22 litre calorifier heated by engine cooling water and 230 volt AC immersion heater powered by either shore power, generator or invertor.

All drains through hull with ball valve seacocks.

Fuel: 150 litres in one stainless steel fuel tank located below starboard aft cabin berth.
Fresh water:  380 litres in two stainless steel water tanks located below main saloon berths.
