The Hunter 34 was introduced in late 1982 as a fast cruising vessel and more than 800 were sold over the next three years. Hunter’s goal was to produce an entry-level boat that was fun to sail and offered maximum room at a value price. The 1985 and older models benefitted from updates such as increased ballast, high performance rudder, and a 22 hp Yanmar 3GMF fresh water-cooled diesel, that improved quality and maintenance over earlier boats.

DISTANT DREAMER is a 1985 shoal-draft example that has enjoyed numerous updates and improvements. She is well-equipped and offers exceptional performance under sail and ease of sail handling. She is in lovely condition and due to her owner’s change of plans, is now offered for sale.
