2019 River Pod 40
This is a very rare opportunity to buy a River Pod 40 houseboat which, subject to separate negotiations, is available with an annual river mooring with secure parking and access to a communal garden area. This River Pod 40 is currently used as a permanent liveaboard with mains electric and water connected.
Accommodation
This River Pod 40 offers one central double berth in the aft bedroom with full storage beneath. There is a range of bedside cabinets and a trunk that provides additional storage space. The aft bedroom is extremely light and airy due to the double aspect large double glazed windows.
Aft of the bedroom is a large heads compartment that has a large walk-in shower, white sink with white vanity unit with pressurised hot and cold water, and a 240v heated towel rail.
Aft of the heads and to port is the L-shaped galley that has modern appliances including a four-burner ceramic hob with extractor fan and oven. The galley, with its soft closing doors, has lots of low and high-level storage cupboards and work surfaces. There is a large stainless steel sink with hot and cold water. Kitchen items such as kettle, toaster, and electric waste bin are included in the sale.
Aft of the galley is the saloon with a large three-seater settee that opens out to a double bed and faces a large TV mounted on the wall.
The galley and saloon are very light with opening double glazed windows on both the port and starboard sides. The lounge, heads, and bedroom have electric heaters that keep the houseboat very cosy.
Aft of the saloon is a set of double glazed patio doors that open onto the covered cedar-clad deck area that can accommodate two seats and a table.
The current berth offers a large open planned garden area with table and chairs, room for a shed, and access to a communal garden and BBQ area as well as dedicated secure car parking and gated entrance.

History and Construction
This River Pod was built in 2019 and has a floating system made from HDPE, which is lightweight yet super-strong. It is recycled and super buoyant. It comes with a 125-year guarantee. Oxygen, salt, and water do not affect HDPE; it is not affected by the ravages of time. It does not need to be painted or anti-fouled. The River Pod floatation system will never need to be removed from the water for maintenance or cleaning, unlike all other boat hulls. HDPE offers zero corrosion and thus, zero maintenance.
This River Pod has recycled all-round insulation; this includes 100mm in the floor, 125mm in the walls, and 300mm in the ceiling. This River Pod also has heat-retaining double glazed windows and doors. This houseboat is fully insulated, keeping you cosy in the winter months and cool in the summer months!
The exterior of this River Pod is clad in a composite cedar wood effect covering with composite cedar wood decking at the main entrance. The River Pod houseboat is built in the UK and is unique, and no two River Pods ever look identical!
