The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.

Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.

Comments

A high quality cruising yacht, only ever in private ownerships and always on the Italian Flag. Tried and tested world cruiser, sailed predominantly in the Med for the last decade.

In this ownership she has undergone many significant and desirable upgrades and serious investment leaving the next owner primarily with general maintenance for their adventures.

In full commission the owners sailing her locally in the Ionian this summer, she will be back in the Lefkas/Preveza area to be lifted out for winter later in the Autumn.

Tax/VAT status:
The yacht has always been on the Italian Flag which is directly linked to tax/VAT. The current owners do not hold any specific invoice evidence of the initial vat payment 1987/88. Only that in order for the vessel to be on the Italian Flag at some point a previous owner satisfied the fiscal authorities that tax had been paid. VAT paid status there by implied as paid. There is historic reference in sales details from 2003 of 'IVA assolta' but nothing else.
