Clinker pram dinghy of a very elegant design, built by H. Baumbach & Son of Hayle, Cornwall c.1960.

The history of the boat is unknown, but she would have been built as a tender to a larger vessel, either carried on deck or hung in davits.

Completely refitted by the very experienced owner and finished to a high standard.

Clinker pram dinghy of a very elegant design, built by H. Baumbach & Son of Hayle, Cornwall c.1960.

The history of the boat is unknown, but she would have been built as a tender to a larger vessel, either carried on deck or hung in davits.

Completely refitted by the very experienced owner and finished to a high standard.

The boat could be carried on a suitable sized car roof rack making transport a relatively simple affair, however the dinghy comes with a road trailer for easy transport.

Has been used with a small electric or petrol outboard motor.

Slightly larger than the standard 8’ pram dinghy, she also carries a little more beam making her very stable and practical.

Construction

Clinker planked in mahogany all copper rivet fastened to steam bent oak timbers.

Hull finished inside and out with Epifanes varnish, painted below the waterline.

Mahogany fore and aft transoms and inwhales with ash rubbing strakes.

Rope fender all round in Hempex with Turks head collars.

2 rowing positions depending on the load being carried, both with bronze rowlock sockets.

Mahogany thwarts and hanging knees.

Painted slatted pine sole board.
