Engines

General

Fitted with Beta 38HP close-coupled to a PRM 120 2:1 reduction gearbox. The engine, gearbox and stern gear fitted are designed for running in a hostile environment.

Engine Instrumentation

Tachometer

Accurate indication of engine speed in revolutions per minute (rpm)

Oil Pressure and Water Temperature

Engine panels includes warning lights and buzzers for oil pressure and temperature abnormalities. Fitted with a fresh water cooling system. The coolant level should be checked remembering the coolant becomes pressurised when heated and the cap must be removed with great care.

Voltmeter

Indicates the relevant engine battery condition. Normal reading with the ignition switched on should be 12 volts.

Engine Hour Meter

Used for recording engine operating times. Maintenance and cruising information will be provided by it.

Propeller

Pitch and diameter are stamped on the propeller (17 x 12 pitch) Propeller is right hand rotation and fitted to 30 mm diameter stainless steel propeller shaft.
