This may be an antique boat but with so many modern upgrades throughout, you will not notice her age. This is not a dock dweller; she is constantly being run and enjoyed. This is a must-see boat for anyone who understands the phrase: “They don’t make them like they used to”. You will not find a cleaner, more maintained, better laid out Matthews anywhere in the world on the market today.
With her solid, steady hull that was made in London England, then transported to Ohio for her outfitting back in 1969, she has always been maintained by all her owners. Documents show the Cummins engines were rebuild in 1991. Being naturally aspirated they will run for many, many more years. The current owners have modernized her and created a beautiful and functional cruising vessel. Some of the upgrades over the past 5 years include: All new laminate wood flooring throughout, new 110 refrigeration, New A/C unit, new headliner throughout, new Marine Elegance electric heads, updated fire suppression system, custom built island seating in the main salon, bottom barrier coat, bottom paint and new deck paint (2021). Full isinglass enclosure, plexiglass wing doors, fireplace, large screen TV, Double recliner couch and so much more!
Boarding this vessel is easy via new attached to the boat boarding ladders, one on each side. You enter into the large airy sundeck that is beautifully appointed with not only perfect condition isinglass but custom clear plexiglass wing doors with tasteful nautical etched decals. The custom adjustable location and height table in front of the couch looks like a very inviting place to enjoy coffee in the mornings or cocktails in the afternoons. The helm seats back bolster can be changes to face forward or aft, which just adds to the additional comfort and use of the sundeck. The helm is smartly laid out and everything accessible for a single captain to operate. Going through the lift hatch and swing door companion way you descend down beautiful, custom made, wide steps into the bright and large mid ship salon that is elegant and modern with a custom-built bar with seating, the large screen TV and fireplace, beautiful flooring and new headliner. It is hard to believe this an antique boat. The master suite is aft and huge. There are two beds, one full and one twin, but the twin seems to be more for extra storage, the large, double doored, almost walk in closet, the built-in makeup vanity and attached en-suite, makes this feel more like a true yacht state room than just a simple “aft master cabin”. The galley is only one small step down forward of the main salon and seems very much a part of the main room. It is well appointed with everything you would need to prepare meals either underway, at anchor or at dock. The guest v-berth cabin is forward yet very large with a full hanging locker, storage and a very nice, large en-suite as well. Throughout “Sea Glass” you can see that a high attention to detail has been used, between the high quality materials and craftsmanship and the tasteful decor, you can just feel how loved this vessel has been.

Engine Details and Mechanical Equipment:
This boat is CLEAN! It does not look or feel it’s age. There are a few items that have been eliminated and the components are still aboard that could be removed ie: original refrigeration compressors and new owners may want to upgrade some of the electronics equipment, but other than that, this is a true “Turn Key”, ready to go vessel. It is not a dock condo and is used all the time. For this reason, appointments to see the boat are needed because the sellers still use this boat and it may not be in her slip. Slip may convey to new owner, per approval by marina.
