The Contest 29 is a well built, long-keeled heavy displacement cruiser with good performance and a sea kindly motion.  They are capable offshore cruisers and with their moderate draft, great for creek crawling and shallow water exploration as well.  This excellent example has been maintained to a high standard and continually upgraded (recent new mainsail, furling genoa and covers, engine and is presented for sale in excellent condition.
Accommodation :
The accommodation offers five berths in two cabins.  V berth forward with stowage under.   Full width heads compartment with Jabsco marine toilet with holding tank and washbasin. Hanging locker opposite with drawers.  In saloon, two settee berths with double berth infill. Quarter berth and galley opposite.  Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven   Stainless steel sink with manually pumped water supply.  140  litres freshwater capacity.  Eberspacher diesel cabin heating. Full cockpit enclosure

Built in 1969 by Conyplex to a design by Dick Zaal.  White painted GRP hull.  White GRP superstructure with painted non-slip to deck.  Long keel with encapsulated ballast.  Keel hung rudder.  Tiller steering.  Aft self draining cockpit.

Located abaft the companionway, Volvo three cylinder 21hp diesel engine, installed new in 2011/2012 complete with new shaft and three bladed propeller. Shaft drive.  Single lever control.  50 litres fuel capacity in stainless steel tank giving approximately 160 mile range at 5 knots cruising speed.  Maximum speed under power 6.5 knots.
