The Catalina 34 is an excellent platform for experienced sailors as well as beginners. Large enough to take on challenging weather yet easy to maneuver around the tight areas it has remained a favorite of mine. The large aft cabin is a great space with room enough to read or relax very comfortably. The Main salon has the feeling of other competitor's offerings as large as 38 Feet. Engine access is excellent, the rigging sturdy and the beam accommodating.
