DESCRIPTION

'Ahoy' is a beautiful lifting keel (pivoting centreboard), schooner rigged, bluewater, classic cruising yacht. Designed in the style of the 'spirit of tradition' but enhanced for serious offshore cruising. From the tip of her varnished bowsprit to the end of her perfectly proportioned and graceful counter transom, this vessel exudes elegance and visually harks back to a golden era of yacht design.

The swept teak decks and varnished pilothouse with double glazed windows are in perfect proportion to the gloss cream topsides and deep classic bulwarks, shrouding a vessel that eschews the modern yacht maxim of cramming as many cabins into the available volume as possible.
All modern services and systems from the internal comforts of air-conditioning, central heating, to an easily controlled yet powerful sailing rig that will offer bountiful enjoyment on any long ocean crossing or more serene coastal cruising and island hopping. A truly go anywhere vessel that will look after a new owner seeking adventure and exploring new sailing grounds. The epitome of the phrase 'little ship'.

Designed by the renowned Dutch naval architect Olivier Van Meer and built at the V&O yachting facility in Holland in 2006, no expense has been spared in the quality of the fitout of the steel hulled vessel. With a rich and warm mahogany panelled interior, maple flooring and plush leather soft furnishings, this schooner exudes comfort from every pore.
With the three plush sleeping cabins containing six berths, the main deck saloon and drawing room area provide ample space below to dine or recline. The forward twin cabin spans the entire width of the boat with deep mattresses and still being able to sneak views of the outside environment through the beautifully varnished deck hatch. The adjacent drawing room area is a snug space to retire to when the elements above conspire against the more expansive views from the beautifully appointed deck saloon. The sleeping cabin layout, double stateroom aft and twin berth amidships with a further separate single crew berth aft would happily satisfy a family or even a couple who want to cruise with those occasional visits from friends.
The well-appointed galley with all the modern amenities will never diminish the choice of gastronomic entertainment whether in port or at sea, and when the job of navigating and managing the ship is required the deck house navigation station provides the perfect perch for monitoring your ship and route.
