This vessel was SOLD on July 29. Feel the romance of the wind. If you are looking for a single-hand open water cruiser look no further. This 1978 Tartan 37 has proven herself a capable vessel for the Great Lakes and the Caribbean. This vessel has a very comfortable liveaboard interior. Sleeps up to seven with two in the peak, one in the pilot berth, two on the port settee, and two in the double quarter berth. She features a galley with a double stainless steel sink, a stove, a microwave oven, and lots of storage. Cruise this nice example of Sparkman and Stephens's most popular design (486 boats produced between 1976 and 1988). Although most of these boats were produced with a shoal draft keel, this one was produced with a fixed deep fin keel which greatly enhances her sailing characteristics and capability. All standing rigging, except for the backstay, was replaced in 2018, along with rewiring the mast and the addition of LED nav lighting. The backstay was replaced in 2014. She is rigged for single-handed sailing and includes a mainsail (2016), roller furling 135 headsail (2016), and a Quantum asymmetrical spinnaker in a sock. When not under sail she is powered by a WesterbekeHP diesel engine. The hour meter shows 2389, however, the accuracy of that is unknown. The head, injectors, and high-pressure pump were rebuilt in 2018. The boat has both wind and solar (two 140W panels) power as well as an inverter installed in 2018. Much of the primary wiring was redone in 2018 as well. There are three house batteries and two starting batteries. We are looking for people all over the country who share our love for boats.
