DESCRIPTION

1992 Silverton 46 Motor Yacht “KNOT TIED DOWN”

The owner has maintenance and service records for the last 12 years which are available at showings or survey. Well maintained, used frequently, KNOT TIED DOWN will not leave you disappointed. The 46 motor yacht was the largest boat in the Silverton fleet when she was introduced in 1990. The 46 Motor Yacht combined conservative styling and roomy accommodations in a feature-rich package producing “a lot of boat for the money”. The 46 motor yacht cruises on a solid fiberglass hull with a wide beam and a moderate 17 degrees of transom deadrise. The interior of the 46 is a traditional aft cabin motor yacht with forward V-berth, plus a bonus bunk room at the port side midship. This third guest cabin has a foldaway berth that converts to a lounge. The galley and dinette down configuration adds to the convenient layout. The salon is quite open and includes a power reclining sofa to port and a seating chair aft. Storage is abundant throughout. (Note that the engine room is accessed by ladder after lifting the stairs to the galley, and is quite spacious.) The aft deck is arranged with a hardtop and side fiberglass coaming, wet bar, and the large flybridge is arranged with bench seating aft and port of the helm. Additional features include built-in foredeck seating, radar arch, space for a washer/ dryer combo, wide side decks and bow pulpit. Large, well laid out, and well-appointed, this 46 will leave you feeling like you are on a much larger yacht with space for a large family or friends.

Accommodations

Step onto either side of the aft deck using the Marquip boarding steps. The side decks are wide and offer safety with high rails and cabin side handrails. Maneuverability is easy and safe. The aft deck features a protective hardtop over exterior PVC furniture with cushions and storage under each seat. Forward is a wet bar and storage area. Access to the helm deck is up steps on the starboard side. The helm is covered by a bimini top and completely enclosed by Strataglass with roll up openings for added ventilation. The helm is well organized and has two Garlick helm chairs for comfort. Along the aft and port side are cushioned seating for a crowd. Back to the aft deck and through a sliding door with a separate sliding screen door you enter the salon. The salon is well appointed with a comfortable power reclining sofa to starboard and a single aft chair. Centered is a lift top coffee table for snacking, working, or dining. To starboard is a TV cabinet with a featured high/low lift TV and inverter. Storage cabinets line the starboard side, and the electric panel is within a cabinet forward. Down a few steps along the aft starboard side, you step into the master cabin with hanging lockers, side night stands with storage, a vanity to starboard and a centered queen berth. The head is ported and features a vanity with storage, mirror and cabinet and a shower. Back to the salon and forward down a few steps is the galley to port and the dinette to starboard. The galley is U-shaped and features ample storage with food preparation spaces to please any onboard chef. The dinette converts into a double berth. Both areas are open above allowing easy communication with guests. Just forward of the dinette and into the companionway is the laundry center with washer and dryer connections. In the companionway forward and to port is the guest cabin. The guest cabin offers plenty of storage. The berths may become a sofa or the back elevated to become bunk beds. Across is access into the day and guest head with a separate shower stall, Vacu-Flush head, vanity with storage and access into the VIP cabin. The VIP cabin is all the way forward and has an elevated amidship queen berth with storage under the berth. There are hanging lockers, lockers with shelves and large outboard shelving.
