DESCRIPTION

Remarks

The Rival 34, designed by Peter Brett, is a well-balanced and extremely seaworthy vessel. Its sturdy design makes it an ideal long-distance cruiser and a proven all-weather performer. It is fitted with a reliable Volvo MD2B 23hp engine, which is serviced yearly by the owner. The interior features an attractive teak finish with vinyl faux leather upholstery.

Owners Remarks & History

Cahuin was built (launched as ‘Ness Point') for a wealthy Suffolk Turkey Farmer, who believed that seven berths (standard on ‘finished boats') were too many for a 34ft boat. She was transferred to Landimore's Yard, Ipswich, to be fitted out with matched veneers in teak to ‘Oyster Standards' to accommodate 5 berths. She was renamed ‘Cahuin' (an Argentinian Folk Dance) by the second owner, Mr. Hamish Grant. He sold her to a family named Maclean, and she came to me in 1988.
