Owners Comments

Purchased in Greece by her previous owners in 2004, formerly a charter boat, it became a retirement project with comprehensive repairs and renewals being made throughout the boat. Sailed in the 2008 East Med rally from Istanbul (via N. Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon) to Israel. After being berthed in Israel, she was later sailed on to Poros. Following this, she was passaged over to Venice and then returned to Poros via Croatia.

The current British owner bought her through Williams & Smithells in 2011.

She sailed from the Aegean up to the Ionian for a season and has been out of the water since October 2012. A professional Osmosis treatment to the hull was carried out in 2013, and the keel bolts were removed for inspection.

She has been set up for single-handed sailing, with roller reefing on both main and Genoa. The anchor can be controlled from the cockpit. It has been cruised extensively around Greece for the last 10 years. The owner planned to use it for further cruising and live aboard during the summers, hence the money invested in Osmosis treatment, but now needs to sell due to change of plans.

Hull Repairs

Hull gelcoat stripped back in 2013 to dry out and keel dropped to examine keel bolts.
2014 Epoxy job done on hull and keel reattached.

In September 2015, during a pre-sale survey, some patches of moisture were discovered by the surveyor. He also noticed pinholes in the epoxy.

The company that did the original work (IBA) were asked to put right the mistakes. They filled the pinholes with epoxy resin and gave the hull more epoxy.

A surveyor was present to check the different stages of the work.

Required Work

There are some cosmetic jobs that need to be done (all these problems have photos to show the extent of the problems):

  • There is a GRP repair to the forward deck where a cleat was ripped out. The repair needs sanding and painting.
  • There is a section of toe rail missing on the port side midships. The toe rail is inside the chart table. It needs bending back to shape in a vice and refitting.
  • The cockpit table has been removed due to water damage. A new one is required.
  • The 2 helmsman seats and grab handle in cockpit need sanding and repainting.
  • Due to water ingress, the wooden light fitting above the saloon table needs to be replaced.
  • The teak veneer in the cockpit and sugar scoop needs replacing.
  • All service batteries need replacing.
