Family Sailing Onboard Nebula - Owners Comments
We, a family of four with two teenage children, left the UK in July 2007 for a year out and cruised down the Atlantic coast of Europe as far as Morocco. We spent Christmas 2007 and new year in Gibraltar before slowly cruising back to the UK, arriving back in July 2008.
Later with the children off our hands we left the UK in July 2017 and set sail. During 2017/2018 we cruised Atlantic Europe and the western Mediterranean, before crossing to Madeira/Porto Santo, the Canaries and on to the Cape Verde islands.
On the 5th February 2019 we left the Cape Verde islands and headed for the Caribbean, arriving in Martinique on 22nd February 2019. We then spent the rest of 2019 and the first half of 2020 cruising the Windward and Leeward islands.
In March 2020, my wife needed to fly to the UK for family commitments. Unfortunately, during this time the world closed down due to Covid, trapping me in Antigua. I therefore became a reluctant single-handed sailor, leaving Antigua on 7th May 2020 and arriving back in the UK on 7th July 2020, via the Azores and Ireland.
Recent sailing includes Scilly Isles, Cornwall, Ireland and Wales.
Nebula has proved to be a safe and reliable boat, looking after us through our many adventures as a family, a couple and as a single-handed sailor.
