She was factory equipped with a fire suppression system safety system and fireproof panels lining the engine compartment. Her original Kermath engine has been restored and is sold with the boat. History Of The Vessel

Expertly constructed by Ditchburn Boatworks of Muskoka, Ontario, Canada, a renowned custom Canadian builder.

The Viking model is regarded as one of the most spectacular boats to come out of the Ditchburn factory. A high performance planing hull, the Viking was capable of speeds over 40mph and the design spawned from the company's winning fleet of Rainbow Gold Cup raceboats.

Originally powered with a Kermath overhead cam 6 cylinder engine, producing 225hp, she has been repowered with a Mercruiser Horizon for reliability and ease of use.

Only 7 Viking models were built by Ditchburn, and this example was purchased new by the Toronto Harbor Police as a high speed pursuit boat for their fleet in 1929. Fully restored and in excellent condition, her original Kermath engine is also included in the sale.
