From the owner: This boat has not been in saltwater - only freshwater lakes. It has never been beached or pulled up on the shore. We anchor and tie to shore with the boat floating in a couple of feet of water. I also back the trailer all the way in the water, so the bunks are wet along their full length before pulling back up to the level for loading. The boat is equipped with a super quiet and efficient Yamaha 150 four-stroke that is perfectly sized to the hull. Again it has the easy flush valve that does not require removal of the cowling to flush it if using in salt or brackish water. It also has a large sacrificial anode to protect the hull if used in saltwater. The boat will plane at 17 MPH (GPS so accurate) and will run 49 MPH top speed with full fuel, full live wells, fishing gear, and two people. At speeds between 17 and 28, the boat handles rough waves very well without beating you to death. It is super-efficient at 23 to 25 MPH (GPS), so you can cruise for hours, and when you go to the pump, you will be pleasantly surprised.
