DESCRIPTION

Very nice example of this desirable twin engined cruiser from the Fairline stable. Released as an upgrade to the Targa 33 she has a more sleek and modern look. Her Volvo KAD42 diesel engines and Duo-prop drives have fully documented service records and are a testament to her current owner,
Below decks is bright and welcoming with large galley, 2 sleeping cabins and a very comfortable saloon. Comprehensive navigation package including radar.

Mechanical

Vessel is powered by twin Volvo Penta KAD42A inboard diesels with Duo-prop sterndrives. The engines are housed beneath the rear cockpit and are accessed via a hydraulically driven hatch. Lots of space for servicing and daily checks.
These 6-cylinder workhorses have completed 1038 hours since new and in their present ownership have undergone and annual service. This has been done by the owner using genuine Volvo parts and has been fully documented. Sporty helm with full engine instrumentation. Sports wheel. Twin lever morse controls.
She will cruise happily at 26 knots @3000rpm. Top speed is 35knots @3800 rpm.
She is fitted with a bowthruster to aid manoeuvrability in tight situations and has the benefit of trim tabs.

These are fitted with isolators and are recharged via the engine alternator and the onboard smart charger. 12/220V switch panel in saloon with fused selector switches. This is also fitted with an RCD breaker for safety. 3-pin sockets in cabins, galley, and saloon.

Accommodation

Below decks is both spacious and welcoming. The light mahogany veneers and trims give the boat a modern feel whilst the fabrics, although original offer neutrality and are clean and comfortable. The emphasis is definitely on the living and this boat can accommodate a cruising couple for weeks on end.

The main saloon is entered via a lockable sliding door from the cockpit. This door is central so does not compromise the helm position or that of the copilot/navigator. Three angled steps down and you are in the saloon with full standing headroom.
To port is the linear galley with hard wearing, easy clean Corian worktops. It isn’t immediately apparent, but the worktops are deep giving far greater volume to the preparation areas, This also allows for greater storage aft including a drainer. For those who like to cook onboard there is a 2-burner gas hob with cover. Below this and built into the units is a separate gas fuelled oven with separate grill. There is a double stainless-steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water through a mixer tap. Front loading fridge with ice compartment which can be used solely for perishables leaving the cockpit fridge to look after the alcohol. There is good height storage cupboard for crockery and ambient goods.

Opposite the galley is the U-shaped saloon seating area. This comfortable spot has a choice of both a large wooden table and a small circular affair depending on number of guests on board. Where Fairline have been clever is that this area will convert to a double but uses slot in base sections and purpose made infill cushions found beneath the settee. The larger saloon table has a permanent home in the aft cabin when not in use. There are 12V reading lights and curtains which make the saloon a cosy place of an evening. During the day, the angled, opening portholes reflect natural light from the water and allow ventilation.

There are two dedicated sleeping cabins. The bow cabin has a privacy door and on entering seems small. This is definitely an optical illusion as the offset berth is no less than 7 feet long and just over 4 feet wide. There is a good-sized dressing table and a very goo hanging wardrobe. There is further space to be found though the double doors in the bed base. 12V lighting and a large deck hatch for natural light and ventilation.

The aft cabin, often a space overlooked in sports cruisers is a revelation. It is bright, has a similarly sized berth to the forward cabin. Where this cabin differs is the slightly better headroom. They have still managed to pride a dressing table and the cupboard storage is good. The mirrored half bulkhead increases natural light and the illusion of space.

Returning to saloon and opposite the aft cabin on the port side is the heads compartment. Being situated aft, this increases the standing headroom. This space is fitted with easy clean GRP mouldings. There is a moulded sink unit with pull out shower head and shower sump pump. Jabsco marine toilet. Opening porthole for ventilation.

The interior benefits from Eberspacher diesel fired heating to extend the season.

·CD/Radio Player with Speakers

Construction

GRP Constructed motor yacht with heavy lay up hull. Planning hull profile with moulded spray strakes increasing gip and manoeuvrability at both low and high speeds. Handling in tight situations is a piece of cake thanks to her twin engines and soft throttle allowing instant control. This is further eased by the addition of a bow thruster. Her underwater areas are antifouled annually, and her hull is given a good polish.
Built in bathing platform with integral ladder and fender storage. There have been snap davits fitted should a tender be needed to be stored inflated. Transom gate on starboard side access lower cockpit with large U-shaped seating area to port with huge dining table. This area converts to a huge sun pad. There is a single seat on starboard side adjacent to the cockpit fridge. Whoever sits there is waiter for the day,
Step up and you are in the upper helm. Driving position is to starboard with double seat and excellent visibility through the toughened glass windscreen. To port is a further double seat and a chart area for the navigator/co-pilot. There are good sized side decks with strategically placed grab rails allowing safe access to the foredeck or when anchoring. Foredeck has bespoke sunbathing mattrasses.
