INTRODUCTION:
Gaff cutter ‘Alexa of London’ is a beautiful yacht with stunning classic lines and a gracious yet powerful rig configuration. Alexa has been meticulously maintained year on year by her passionate owners and long standing crew. Without doubt she is the ‘belle’ of any anchorage and is much admired wherever she sails. Alexa truly is a turn-key package and would suit the owner who loves powerful gaff yacht sailing but with the onboard luxuries of a modern day superyacht.

Commercially compliant to charter up to 150nm from a safe-haven, Alexa of London has an excellent charter record who’s guests have repeatedly booked her year on year. Alexa easily achieves 8 weeks charter at €40-50k per week.

She sleeps 9 guests in 4 spacious en-suite cabins. Her current owners had an interior designer create a New England clean-cut simple style throughout. She is light and particularly well ventilated throughout.

Above deck you are spoilt for choice for space; there are wide open side decks with sun-cushions either side or a dedicated sun-pad forward to escape to. Or why not recline in the classic teak deck chairs whilst cruising under sail. On the foredeck and under the large sun-awning is a dining table which seats 10+ guests. Back aft at the helm is a large shaded cockpit with a good sized table to enjoy your al-fresco breakfast at.

A particularly nice feature is the fold-out side boarding ladder, which is ideal to swim from or from which to board the yachts Williams jet tender from. Her centreboard lowering keel is also one of the yachts finest assets – keel up and you can sail right inshore and anchor off the beach in 3.5 metres. Keel down Alexa has a 7 metre draft which makes for a particularly stiff performing yacht.

Alexa of London has given her current owners and family some memorable and wonderful times onboard. Sailing her is exciting and totally enchanting. Due to the yachts 120 tonne steel hull, Alexa is safe, stable and very capable offshore. With her gaff mainsail and easily controlled headsails this yacht is an ideal ocean passage maker that looks after you well. Whether it be a global circumnavigation or a trip to the Caribbean for the Winter months this yacht is in her element.
