Open motor launch with a unknown history. Likely to have been built in the 1950’s, perhaps in Looe.
Major refit in 2020 with a new oak keel band and stem repair. The hull was stripped bare and newly painted with Awlgrip, all fittings bedded on Bostik mastic.
The forward cuddy has been nicely built and provides a place of shelter when the weather turns foul.

Construction
Carvel planked in pitch pine copper rivet fastened to steam bent oak timbers. Hull finished in Awlgrip paint.
New oak keel band and bottom section of the stem fitted in 2021.
Aft and foredeck in painted plywood.
Varnished iroko forward cuddy with a plywood roof.
Varnished iroko thwarts with iroko knees.
Wooden insulated engine box with a varnished teak lid.
Painted plywood sole boards
Transom hung rudder on Teleflex steering. Possible to be steered by wheel or tiller.
Rig
Small mast mounted in a bracket on the transom to carry flags.
Machinery
Yanmar 1GM10 single cylinder 9hp diesel engine.
Mechanical gearbox with single lever controls and a stainless steel shaft to a fixed 3 blade bronze propeller.
45ah 12 volt battery charged from the engine alternator.
Stainless steel fuel tank under the aft deck of approximately 30 litres with a water separator filter.
