About the Condor 40:

The Condor 40 is a legendary racing trimaran built in Annapolis MD, in excellent shape for fast, comfortable, shoal area coastal cruising or offshore passages. North Sails Mainsail with Harken track cars and batten gear. New Dacron 120% Genoa in 2018 with uv strip. Custom C40 #15 Hull color Spinnaker in first class condition, and in sock for easy deployment. Recently repaired Yanmar 2gm20f with saildrive and 2 blade folding prop ....but if you prefer on next haul out you can change to outboard on rudder, bracket on board, or fit two outboards as originally built on aft wings (see photos of sistership). This will reduce draft (and overall weight) to approximately 2 feet rather than current 3 feet. Many recent repairs and improvements, but no major projects needed to start cruising immediately. Decks and interior painted, Dodger, Bimini and awnings in very good condition. Garmin 10 inch color Chartplotter, Sounder and Radar all in working order. Other useful cruising gear including new 2 burner stainless steel alcohol stove, new Autohelm ST 2000 tillerpilot, Achilles 8 foot dinghy and Honda 2hp 4 stroke outboard. Ready to sail away. This Trimaran can be hauled using straps around the main hull on a 30 ft wide travel-lift, crane with straps, or rolled out on a marine railway.

About $3000 dollars invested in repairs new parts and labour.

Some history:

This is not the original engine from 1988! All C40s were launched with twin 9.9 hp outboards on aft wings. Later owners would change that if they chose. This C40 is Hull #15. It had the twin outboards on hydraulic lifting brackets operated by hand pump control in cockpit, which have since been removed. A new owner could change back and use block and tackle to raise and lower the outboards. A much easier and cheaper solution. The benefit would be less drag, and a shallow 2 ft draft, compared to 3 ft with the saildrive. Owner does not know when the engine was installed. He has only had it for 16 months or so. The engine service was performed in Nov 2018 with the orientation ofa Yanmar dealer. He stripped the fuel system, and the injector pump and injectors were rebuilt, A much happier engine now. Recent work on engine also includes two new mountings , new cable loom extension , new starter motor, new raw water pump, new stainless exhaust manifold, new v belts and starter battery, new anode on saildrive 2018, new gaskets as required on all fittings. New section exhaust hose. Plus many other smaller items. There are still some small spares on board.
