12’ clinker sailing dinghy believed to have been built in 1981.

Major professional overhaul by the International Boatbuilding Training College, Lowestoft in 2014.

New rig professionally built for the boat to the plans for the International 12 sailing dinghy rig, including all varnished spruce spars.

Very attractive and well cared for dinghy that is kept indoors much of its life to protect the paint and varnish. Used in present ownership for the youngsters to learn to sail with, she is a fast yet forgiving boat which will turn heads everywhere.

A complete boat with trailer and cover, ready to go sailing this summer.

Construction

• Clinker planked in mahogany all copper rivet fastened to steam bent oak timbers.
• White painted hull with a varnished sheer strake.
• Laminated mahogany stem with solid mahogany transom. Laminated oak breast hook.
• Mahogany rubbing strake with oak inwhale.
• Varnished mahogany thwarts with laminated mahogany hanging knees.
• Slatted sole boards.
• Transom hung drop plate rudder on bronze hangings with a mahogany tiller.
• Galvanised centreplate raised and lowered with a block and tackle.

Rig

• Rig built new in 2016 to the plans for the International 12 rig.
• Varnished Sitka spruce spars.
• Mast has a single shroud each side tensioned with a lanyard to external bronze chain plates.
• White terylene sail to the International 12 design.
• All running rigging and hardware is modern gear.
