Bayliner 288 Discovery is a family cruiser with a traditionally designed fly bridge. Command bridge and a lower helm station enable pleasant cruising in any weather condition. There are not too many cruisers with a fly bridge in this size category since boaters prefer, because of the stability of the boat itself, open sporting cockpits. It is especially obvious when the whole crew occupy the bridge. Two separated staterooms, galley equipped with a stove and refrigerator with freezer and marine head with a shower booth guarantee pleasant accommodation for four adults and two children. Protective cover for the windscreen and fly bridge belongs to the standard equipment.

Equipped with a 250 HP diesel engine she cruises at 16 to 18 knots, while maximum speed is 29 knots.

Galley services are provided by an Origo 4300E combined electrical and split two burner fitted hobbit with a built in Origo microwave oven below.
Pressurised hot and cold water is piped to both the galley and the heads by a floret pressure pump complete with a particulate filter.

The heads is equipped with a Jabsco manual WC discharging direct to a holding tank.
The contents of the holding tank can be discharged to the marina receiving system or by using the macerator pump.

Joules is fitted with a diesel fired Eberspacher warm air central heating fitted with a seven day programmer.
Wired CO alarm system is fitted within the vessel.

Bow thruster has a dedicated battery located within the bow thruster compartment together with an isolator, this battery is charged by the engine. Joules is fitted with both 12 volt and 240 volt circuits with the 12 volt switch board located at the Helmand the 240 volt board within the galley.
Two batteries are located within the engine compartment and charged from the engine via the permanent ProNautic 15 AMP 4 stage automatic battery charger when connected to shore power.
