The Bavaria 31 is an excellent starter boat for those looking to downsize or enter boat ownership. Rigged as a 15/16th fractional sloop on a Seldon mast with double spreader and stainless standing rigging, this boat boasts a large transom step for easy and safe access to/from a tender and 6 berths in two double cabins, plus a two single but generous saloon berths.
Bavaria 31 (Shoal draught version£43,950
The Bavaria 31 was produced for 3 years from 1999 and should not be confused with the later Bavaria 30. The earlier hull is longer and narrower with a consequently more spritely performance to windward, as well as featuring a larger transom step that provides for more convenient and safer transfer to/from a tender while at anchor or on moorings.
With 6 berths in two double cabins, plus 2 good saloon berths, Eberspacher cabin heating and hot water, this Bavaria 31 would make an excellent starter boat, or a perfect choice for someone looking to downsize.
