The ATOMIC 22 is a well-built, well thought out and extremely capable vessel. This is a vessel I would be most comfortable with beach launching and running through the surf.
She can be comfortably towed by a competent driver and thus one can run her to one’s favourite launch site to take the family for a sun-downer cruise, skiing/wakeboarding or fishing in the lap of luxury.
The owner of the brand is an avid fisherman with an eye for detail. It is precisely this detail that raises this vessel to a seldom seen point of finesse. Having spent a significant amount of time at sea on all manner of smaller ski boats the following features stood out for me: Deep V hull with a flared proud bow. The bow section has been well racked back giving a progressive entry into either a swell or wave, this combined with good buoyancy upfront inspires a significant amount of confidence.
In challenging conditions, the false transom and self-draining wet deck make for a dry boat without the need for bilge pumps. The bimini structure and handholds around the vessel are of a comfortable diameter for a secure grip. This combined with the high gunnels certainly inspires confidence.
On this note the flush bow rail took my fancy as did the wrap around gunnel cushioning. The helm station, wheel, throttles and electronics fell comfortable to hand. A particularly classy touch is the switch panel which is a piece of artwork in itself. As one will see from the specification and options available she is highly customisable and thus can be tailored to meet your personal requirements.
Due to the plethora of differing import regulations she can be supplied with or without motors. This flexibility, in certain jurisdictions, can make for a significant cost saving and also ensure that the preferred motors that are to be fitted are supported by the appropriate warranty in your particular area.
