This 2011 Privilege 495 is hull #31, the last one built, and likely the finest model of this fabulous, ocean-going, eminently seaworthy cruising catamaran remaining. With her low profile, her 860' sq ft mainsail (new 2018) and versatile cutter rig with three headsails, (new gennaker 2018) this is a go anywhere boat. All of her standing rigging was replaced and the mast, boom and bowsprit repainted with Awlgrip in 2018. Her design and construction forward provide massive strength not found in other catamarans. This design allows for two bow rollers off the A-frame and a chain locker forward which permits easy access to the anchor and chain as well as safe and problem free anchoring. In addition, this unique construction provides space for a very generous sit-down workroom that has massive amounts of storage for tools and spares. Her cockpit hard-top bimini, with removable cockpit enclosures and sliding hatch steering station allows for complete visibility of all four corners of the boat as well as complete protection from the weather. There are welded stainless handholds beneath the hard top that allow for safe movement about the cockpit in any weather. There are five large lockers in the cockpit for storage for all the gear required for safety, for normal everyday function of the boat, and for fun. Her teak decks in the generous sugar scoops and cockpit add functionality and beauty to her sleek, handsome design.
Her bottom is perfect and blister free with CopperCoat antifouling, 2019, for years of trouble free service.
She’s generously powered by two Volvo D2-55 engines connected to two S-130 saildrives spinning feathering Max-Props. Auxiliary power is supplied by a 7KW Onan generator. She carries 180 gallons of fuel in two tanks and 146 gallons of water in a stainless steel tank. She comes with a 25 gallon/hour Duo water maker with three new membranes, 2018. She also has a Bauer air-compressor with two dive tanks (serviced 2018) and weights and belts.
Electronically, there is a Garmin XSVchartplotter and two autopilots, a Simrad (2018) and a Raymarine ST70 with S100 remote control as well as two more Raymarine ST70 displays at the helm. Garmin radar unit (new 2018) on starboard spreader. There are two depth sounders and seawater temperature. At the navigation station there is a Raymarine chartplotter and a computer with 17” monitor to display TZ Navigator, as well as VHF, stereo CD player, Weems and Plath electronic barometer and another remote Raymarine St70 display head. She has a satphone spreader mounted antenna.
There is a Garmin XM antenna for music and weather (2018).
Electrically, she is 220V/50Hz and comes with an AC-12 phase converter that appropriately converts any dock power supplied (120V/220V/380V, 50Hz/60Hz) so that with her 100’ of power and complete set of adaptors she can plug in anywhere in the world. She has a Mastervolt Combi 2000 inverter/charger and a separate 2000 watt inverter supplying 60Hz.
The house battery bank is 800 amps supplied by four 6V 200 amp batteries newly installed 2019. Batteries are easily charged by 1.2KW of solar panels and a D400 wind generator (new blades 2017).
“Below” this is a rare galley-up owner’s version and is bright and airy due to the maple finish. The galley is ergonomic with double sinks and Corian countertops and there is an abundance of storage space both in the galley and in the pantry in the port hull. The galley is equipped with a three burner Eno stove, a microwave and dishwasher and generously sized refrigerator as well as a separate freezer and Nardi oven in the pantry. The salon is large with custom LED lighting. There are new (2018) custom mildew proof curtains throughout the boat.
There are two queen sized quarter berths with storage cabinets and bookshelves, each berth with it’s own electric head, the port one is private with an ensuite head. There is a TV in the port quarter berth. Both quarter berths can quickly and easily be converted to two twins in each. There is a washer and desk in the office in the starboard hull and the desk comes with a mattress below so that it can easily be become a single berth.
The forward half of the boat below decks is the owners master suite with a king-sized bed approachable from both sides with nightstands and a flat screen TV. There is a large walk-in shower with glass door enclosure which provides complete separation from the sink and electric fresh water head. In addition to the nearby closet space in the starboard hull there is a master closet with generous storage space in numerous cabinets.
For comfort there are four air-conditioning units, one 16,000 BTU in the salon and a 12,000 BTU in each of the berths.
Sale to include significant parts/spares/tools too numerous to mention, eleven extra five gallon fuel tanks, 13 fenders, boat lines, oil change pump, 8 lifevests, jacklines, fishing gear, linens, dishes, utensils, floor carpets, complete set of manuals in French and English.
This is not a project boat. This boat is ready to sail.
