The Hunter Legend 36 is spacious and comfortable and Lady Naomi is exceptionally well equipped for a yacht of her size. Built in 2008, she was totally refurbished in 2018, including smart new upholstery. Whilst sufficiently robust to provide exhilarating sailing, she is also gentle enough for pottering about. She is a lovely, distinctive boat and will add a bit of extra comfort to your sailing.

Accommodations

Accommodation:

Lady Naomi’s cherry laminate interior is attractive, spacious and comfortable. With three double cabins and two additional salon berths she can accommodate eight people in total. Each cabin has a hanging wardrobe in addition to further storage. In the salon, dining space is generous and four under-seat lockers provide bags of storage. The boat is equipped with central heating and hot water.

The Galley:One of her best features, a favourite with everyone, is her magnificent, well equipped galley. A super-large triangular workspace with integral refuse bin and storage locker, under-surface full size fridge with freezer compartment, double sink and ample under-sink storage make catering a pleasure. The gimbled two burner cooker also houses an oven and grill.

In the heads are a basin and a large vanity mirror with integral cupboard.

Forecabin with V shaped double berth. Cupboards and lockers for personal gear.
Saloon with C shaped seating to starboard arranged around large saloon table. All upholstery was new in 2018. This will convert to form another double berth if required. Seating to Portman also use the table for eating if the extension is deployed. The aft end of this seating bench is used when sitting at the chart table. A good sized table capable of taking a folded chart with storage for these and other books etc. within. Switch panel for all ships electrical systems and navigation instruments as you are likely to want at this station.
Immediately aft of this is the large heads compartment which has a seatiolet, wash hand basin and shower facilities with lots of room and storage for supplies.
Opposite on the starboard side is the galley. Huge workweek surfaces are obvious here, with storage above and below for crockery, utensils and vitals. All crockery which is custom Hunter Legend production is included.
Leading from the aft end of the saloon to either side of the companionway are the two aft cabins. With good sized doubles with storage for personal gear.
In all areas there is good lighting and ventilation from an assortment of hull ports, coachroof windows and opening deck hatches.
Forced air diesel heating system is ducted to all cabins.
12 volt electrical lighting is in all cabins.

The galley is fitted out with a two burner, grill and oven gas cooker (new in 2020), a stainless steel sink unit with a supply of pressurised hot and cold fresh water.There is a large (Approx 60L) upright, front opening fridge unit built below the work surfaces.

Sailing:

Lady Naomi’s fractional rigging makes her a lively but straightforward and friendly boat to sail, with appeal for all ages: She is easily manageable by a couple, equally suitable for a larger group and especially safe for a family because of her high boom which sits over the rear arch, a trademark of Hunter Legends. The arch also accommodates the traveller. The mainsheet with lazy jacks and large roach is complimented by a roller-furling genoa. All sail controls are fed back to the cockpit, which makes for easy tacking and her large spray hood provides comfortable sailing in all conditions. In addition, she is equipped with a storm jib for “more exciting” conditions. Lady Naomi has a winged keel: Because the majority of weight is in the bottom of the keel, the lower centre of gravity lessens the effect of side forces and increases stability.

Deck and cockpit

Electric anchor windlass handling CQR style anchor and chain rode. Deck mounted foot switches control this at the foredeck.
Navigation lighting to DOT standards
Mooring cleats fore and aft and midships.
Stainless steel stanchions and wire guardrails (new in 2020) with opening gates either side just aft of midships. Aft pushpit rails to each quarter with built in seats.
Stainless steel handrails on coachroof.
Sprayhood with good visibility and shelter to the cockpit and companionway.
Cockpit seat surfaces all finished in faux teak planking.
Cockpit table can be deployed for 'Alfresco' dining.
Wheel steering on large pedestal unit which houses engine controls and electronic navigation instruments.
Lewmar self tailing winches (4 in total) mounted on cockpit coamings for sheets and coachroof below spray hood for control lines.
Rope clutches for each control line.
Assorted fenders and warps.

The transom is walk through, stern access making for more accessible boarding – an excellent feature for anyone who finds climbing over the side problematic. Two additional pushpit seats at the back give an uncrowded feel on deck.

A dinghy and outboard are included.

Instrumentation

In the cockpit at the wheel there are Raymarine ST60 speed, depth and wind instruments, a Raymarine autopilot control display and a recently fitted Garmin GPS plotter display.

Safety equipment.

Lady Naomi has been available for charter and is coded to safety standards to facilitate this. She is being sold in this state with all the necessary equipment.
